FDA Chemist Exploits “Sensitive Inside Information” | Judicial Watch

FDA Chemist Exploits “Sensitive Inside Information” | Judicial Watch

In the latest scandal to rock the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a veteran chemist at the beleaguered agency has been sentenced to prison for using “sensitive inside information” to engage in illegal insider trading that fattened his bank account by millions.  The Justice Department says the corrupt FDA chemist (Cheng Yi Liang), who worked in the Office of New Drug Quality Assessment, traded on multiple occasions by using non-public information obtained through the agency’s password-protected internal tracking system for new drug applications. Liang made nearly $4 million off the deals and recently reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. This week he was sentenced to five years in prison.

Perhaps the FDA will find a way to keep him on its payroll.  A few years ago a congressional report exposed that government scientists convicted of felonies are allowed to conduct essential drug and biologics research because the FDA doesn’t bother removing them, even though federal law demands it. This means Liang may very well get his job back after he’s done serving time.

His case is simply the most recent of many controversies to hit the federal agency responsible for protecting public health and safety. In the last few years the FDA has been embroiled in a number of transgressions, mostly involving its failure to enforce federal laws to please wealthy pharmaceuticals that pay hundreds of millions of dollars in “fees.”
In fact, the appalling arrangement has even been documented in various federal probes. One scathing congressional reportoutlines in detail how the FDA allows companies that annually pay it more than $400 million in fees to compromise public safety.

Judicial Watch has exposed one deadly example—Gardasil— that was fast-tracked by the FDA to protect against cervical cancer. JW uncovered droves of government records listing thousands of adverse reactions associated with the vaccine, which is manufactured by pharmaceutical giant Merck. They include paralysis, convulsions, blindness and dozens of deaths. Based on the records JW published a special report detailing Gardasil’s approval process, side effects, safety concerns and marketing practices.

Microsoft buys eugenics technology from Merck ‘makers of Gardasil’, becomes drug development partner with top global vaccine manufacturer

When you buy Microsoft products, you are now promoting the pharmaceutical industry and its global vaccine agenda. That’s the new reality in which we live, where the world’s largest software company is “in bed” with the world’s largest vaccine pusher.
How so? In 2009, Microsoft purchased a key piece of technology from the drug company Merck, the world’s largest maker of vaccines (which Bill Gates says can help “reduce the global population” by 10 to 15 percent). That technology, as you’ll see below, can conceivably be used to developeugenics vaccinesthat target specific races and nationalities with infertility-inducing pharmaceuticals — something that is entirely consistent with Bill Gates’ openly-admitted goal of reducing world population through the use of vaccines (see link to video below).

Will Merck Get its Day in Court?

The class-action civil lawsuit in Australia being brought against Merck for injuries and deaths following Gardasil vaccination may help to bring more attention to the risks of this vaccine, which was fast-tracked in the U.S. and brought to market without adequate scientific evidence proving safety and effectiveness. Like in Australia, there are many girls and women in the U.S. speaking out about what happened to them after getting Gardasil shots. If you or a loved one has been harmed by Gardasil or any other vaccine or pharmaceutical product, please consider sharing your story with others so there is greater public awareness about vaccine and prescription drug risks.
Of course, Merck is no stranger to legal action. The company paid out billions in lawsuit claims  to tens of thousands  harmed by the drug Vioxx, and over the years has had more than $5.5 billion in judgments and fines levied against it. Unfortunately, in the U.S. Merck is protected from civil lawsuits for Gardasil vaccine injuries and deaths because of the liability shield granted to pharmaceutical companies by the U.S. government.
Barbara Loe Fisher, founder of the National Vaccine Information Center, explains:
“In 1986, there were three major drug corporations selling vaccines in the U.S. (Merck, Lederle, Connaught) and now there are eight (Merck, Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Astra Zeneca, CSL Biotherapies, Emergent BioSolutions).
That is because, in 1986, Pharma blackmailed Congress into giving them partial liability protection from vaccine injury lawsuits by suggesting they would have to abandon the U.S. childhood vaccine market without a liability shield.
In February of this year [2011], drug companies got what they wanted all along: the U.S. Supreme Court gave Pharma total immunity from lawsuits – even if they could have made a vaccine less harmful.
Vaccines, said the Court, are “unavoidably unsafe.”
This gene-targeting vaccine research technology purchased by Microsoft was developed by the company known asRosetta Biosciences, formerly owned by Merck.
This same announcement goes on to say that vaccine makerMerckwill “provide strategic input to Microsoft” as a part of the deal. Merck’s strategy, of course, is to make money by pimping vaccines and pharmaceuticals, including the now-infamousGardasilvaccine.
Rupert Vessey, the vice president of Merck Research Laboratories, openly admits this deal puts Microsoft in the role of being adrug developer. He says, “We look forward to collaborating with Microsoft to develop new bioinformatic solutions to enable and expedite drug discovery and development…”

Remember the CDC and some POTUS candidates even recommend this for girls and now boys.

28-year-old Melbourne woman, crippled by Gardasil, leads class action against Merck.
(NaturalNews) One more woman wishes she could be “one less” person to have received the Merck Gardasil vaccine. In an article inThe Herald Sun, Brigid O’Connell reports that a 28-year-old Melbourne woman experienced an auto-immune and neurological attack after receiving a Gardasil jab in July of 2008. A group of seven other women, one who suffered a miscarriage purportedly due to the Gardasil injection, are contemplating joining the court case.
Fast-Tracked Vaccine
Gardasil vaccine was fast tracked to licensure by the Food and Drug Administration in 2006.2 It contains genetically engineered virus-like protein particles (VLPs) and aluminum, 3,4,5 which affect immune function.6,7,8  The exact mechanism of protection is unknown and the vaccine has not been evaluated for the potential to cause cancer or be toxic to the genes.10
It is a vaccine that, by the summer of 2009, already caused more than 15,000 thousand reports of vaccine reactions, including more than 3,000 injuries and 48 deaths.11 14 of the girls who died after getting Gardasil were under age 16 just like Gabrielle.
At the National Vaccine Information, we issued our first press release in the summer of 2006 warning parents that Gardasil had not been adequately tested in young girls before government health officials recommended that all 11 and 12 year old girls get three doses of the vaccine.12  Merck only studied Gardasil in fewer than 1200 girls under age 16 and followed them up for about two years before lobbyists tried, unsuccessfully in 2007, to get the vaccine mandated for all sixth grade girls in every state.13
Expanding Multi-Billion Dollar Market: Boys Are Next
Even though Gardasil was only tested on about a thousand young girls before licensure in 2006, CDC officials told doctors to give three doses of the vaccine to millions of little girls at a cost averaging $165 per dose.14Because Merck did not test Gardasil in pre-licensure clinical trials in combination with all other vaccines routinely given to pre-teen and teenage girls, the CDC suggested that safety could be assumed and directed that Gardasil be given simultaneously with other vaccines.15
According to O’Connell, the woman’s doctors originally diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis and later recanted this diagnosis and declared that it was a neurological reaction to the Gardasil vaccine. After receiving the injection, she was afflicted with convulsions. Racked by excruciating neck and back pain, she also became unable to walk.
Body Count Escalating
Meanwhile, in the U.S., the Gardasil body count continues to climb. Barbara Hollingsworth reports inThe Washington Examinerthat between Sept. 1, 2010 and Sept. 15, 2011, 26 new deaths and many more severe adverse reactions were reported in patients receiving Gardasil injections. The adverse reactions included seizures, paralysis, and blindness.
Doctors Silenced
Doctors who dare to speak out about Gardasil are being silenced. According to an article by Norma Erickson, Dr. Sin Hang Lee was aware of some studies that had been submitted to the FDA before any HPV vaccines were approved. These studies demonstrated that there was a substantial increase in pre-cancerous lesions for those who had been exposed to vaccine-relevant genotypes of HPV before receiving Gardasil or Cervarix injections. In order to try to protect those people who were thinking about getting an HPV vaccination, Dr. Lee offered his HPV genotyping test to U.S. medical consumers so they might avoid that potential risk. Dr. Lee’s admirable actions were rewarded by him losing his medical staff privileges at Milford Hospital.
Sex Fears Used To Peddle Vaccines
Dr. Diane Harper, who was instrumental in developing the HPV vaccine, says that unrealistic promises are being made about the jab. According toThe Kansas City Star, Harper states that “fear is what sells.”Learn more:

While More Teens Are Getting Vaccinated According To The CDC, Bachmann Stands Behind The HPV Vaccine As ‘Ravaging’ Girls

(HealthDay News) — Although the number of teens getting three new recommended vaccines is growing, there’s still room for improvement, government researchers report.
The three vaccines were added to the recommended list of vaccines in 2005 through 2007. They include the TdaP vaccine, which shields against tetanus, diptheria and whooping cough (pertussis); the meningitis vaccine (MenACWY) and the human papillomavirus (HPV) shot for girls, which prevents about 70 percent of cervical cancers and vaginal warts.
Overall, the proportion of 13- to 17-year-olds who were up-to-date on these three shots rose from 10 percent in 2006 to almost 42 percent by 2009, the team from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.
“On the good side, vaccination coverage is increasing,” said lead researcher Shannon Stokley, from the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
“But, unfortunately coverage for HPV is starting to level off,” she said. “We are not seeing as big an increase in coverage as we see with the other vaccines.”
However, HPV is transmitted via sexual contact and, “we feel it’s really important to get the vaccine as early as you can, to make sure girls are protected at the time they may become sexually active,” Stokley said. “The point of vaccination is to protect yourself before you are at risk.”
Recently, a CDC panel recommended the HPV vaccine for boys. “We are hoping there will be strong uptake for boys,” she said. Vaccinating boys helps stop the virus from spreading to girls and also shields boys from throat and anal malignancies.
Michele Bachmann is still defending her oppositionto the vaccine that prevents HPV, the leading cause of cervical cancer. At a campaign event in Sheldon, Iowa on Monday night, she sympathized with a mother who believes her daughter Jessica, now 16, has been debilitated by headaches, pains and seizures brought on by the vaccine three years ago and can no longer attend school.
“Michele, on behalf of myself and a lot of other mothers that have a child that’s sick from the Gardasil vaccine, I would like to thank you for the attention that you brought to it,” Julie Wepple said, according to the Des Moines Register.
Bachmann thanked Wepple for bringing up the vaccine issue. “Parents have to make that decision for their kids because it isn’t the schools that are going to follow up with Jessica,” she said. “It isn’t the schools that live with Jessica every day. It’s Jessica who’s having to have her body live with the ravages of this vaccine.”
For months Bachmann’s campaign has been after Rick Perry, who in 2007 mandated that all young girls in Texas receive the vaccine–and later said he made a mistake.

Central to the debate was Texas lobbyist Mike Toomey, who served as chief of staff for Perry for two years and lobbied for Merck, Gardasil’s maker. Bachmann alluded to her opponent’s ties to the drug company again on Monday night.more from the huffingtonpost
