California Leads in Hate Crimes, Crimes against Whites not mentioned.

Funny how when a lone white is attacked by lets say a group of Latinos or blacks that is not called a ‘hate crime’ basically with all the alphabet groups and the Government it’s like Whites aren’t considered an Ethnic Group or race.

In fact when a white is attacked or killed by said group etc, notice the ethnicity of the attacker is not mentioned or it’s not ‘head line news’ such as the mentioned stories had. Why is that? Whatever the answer is it’s not right.  Shera~

California, New York and New Jersey continue to lead other states in hate crime statistics. According to figures from the annual FBI report released Monday, hate crimes have declined nationally, decreasing by 13 percent in 2009, but these three states continue to have the highest rates.

Fatal hate crime cases such as the beating of Luis Ramirez in Shenandoah, Pa., gained national attention. Ramirez, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico, was walking with his white girlfriend when he was attacked and beaten to death by a group of white teenagers in 2008. Another case that made national headlines was that of Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorean immigrant who was beaten by a group of teenagers near a Long Island train station in 2008.

But national media attention does not seem to have changed the reality in areas with high Latino populations.
According to the FBI report, California had more reported hate crime incidents last year than any other state, with 1,015 cases. New York followed with 626 and New Jersey with 549 cases. Despite these figures, the states have seen declines in the numbers of hate crimes compared to 2008, when there were 1,381 cases in California, 744 cases in New York, and 570 in New Jersey.

Congress defines a hate crime as a criminal offense against a person or their property, motivated, in whole or part, by a bias against race, religion, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation.


In California, most of the hate crimes were racially motivated, with 453 cases. This was followed by hate crimes based on sexual orientation (222), religion (194), ethnicity (142) and disability (four cases).
However, the high number of reported cases in California could also be a sign that more people in the state are coming forward to report the crimes.

Ty Cobb, legislative director for the Human Rights Campaign, told La Opinión that the numbers are higher in California, New York and New Jersey because there is “higher awareness and education about what hate crimes are, as reported and investigated. There is a preparation to identify.”more

Fake Hate Crimes: An Islamist Weapon

Over the recent Fourth of July weekend, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR ^[1]) interviewed ^[2] attendees of the 47th annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA ^[3]) convention about their experiences in dealing with “Islamophobia.” Shortly afterwards, on July 6, CAIR called on the FBI to investigate an act of arson ^[4] at a Georgia mosque, saying that hate crimes were increasing because of a “vocal minority in our society promoting anti-Muslim bigotry.” The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA ^[5]) referred ^[6] to it as one of the “incidents of Islamophobia [that] are on the rise in this country.” However, police later arrested ^[7] a Muslim suspect.
As Daniel Pipes has documented ^[8] for years ^[9], Islamist organizations in the West are quick to label crimes as anti-Muslim hate crimes as part of their effort to make Muslims feel under attack ^[10] and to paint themselves as Muslims’ protectors. For example, immediately following the Fort Hood shooting ^[11], CAIR asked ^[12] Muslims to respond by donating to it. “We need financial help to meet these crises and push back against those who seek to score political points off the Muslim community in the wake of the Fort Hood tragedy,” the fundraising pitch read. To no one’s surprise, an anti-Muslim backlash did not ensue ^[13].
Cutting through the propaganda requires understanding the ways in which crimes are misrepresented as hate crimes — and why. There are two main culprits to consider: Muslims who stage fake hate crimes and Islamist organizations that seek to exploit them.

54 year old woman charged with ‘Hate Crime’, in Tinely Park Scarf Pulling

A suburban Chicago woman has been charged with a hate crime for allegedly yanking the head scarf of a Muslim woman in Tinley Park two days after the shootings at Fort Hood, Texas.


Valerie Kenney, 54, a bank teller from Tinley Park, appeared at the BridgeviewCourthouse today and was released on $5,000 bail. If convicted of the felony, Kenney faces up to 3 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. She is due back in court Dec. 3.

“I think (a charge of hate crime) sends the appropriate message that these kinds of race-based lash-outs are unacceptable,” said Ahmed Rehab, executive director of the Chicago chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. “Every time something like (the Fort Hood shootings) happens, the Muslim community prepares for a backlash.”

Tinley Park police investigate alleged hate crime

Mother-of-four Amal Abusumayah, 28, says she was shopping at Jewel at 171st St. and Harlem Ave. at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday when a middle-aged woman passed her in the aisle and made a loud reference to Fort Hood.

"She said, 'The man that did that shooting in Texas was from the Middle East,' in a really loud and angry voice," Abusumayah said.

Minutes later, while Abusumayah was paying for her groceries, the woman approached her from behind and tugged hard on her blue and beige headscarf, she said.

"I turned around and looked at her and she walked out of the store," Abusumayah said.

"My scarf didn't come off because it was on very tight, but my head was tugged back," she said.

Following the woman into the lot, Abusumayah called police, who arrested the woman soon after, she said.

Abusumayah said she initially declined to press charges against the woman because she was "upset and confused," but that she returned to press charges on Sunday.

Tinley Park Police Chief Michael O' Connell said today his officers are investigating the incident as a "possible hate crime."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued a press release Friday, calling for the FBI to also investigate.

"Pulling a woman's headscarf is clearly a hate crime and should therefore be investigated at such, CAIR's Chicago civil rights director Christina Abraham said in the release.

FBI spokesman Jon Diwik said the case has not been reported to the FBI. But O'Connell said there was no reason for that to happen because "it is our jurisdiction and we'll do a complete investigation."

Abusumayah, who was born in the U.S. and raised in Berwyn as the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, says she wants the woman she says attacked her charged soon because, "I was very offended and couldn't believe this was happening to me."

She said the Fort Hood murders were "very upsetting and very sad to me--as Muslims and Arabs we do not tolerate these kind of actions.
