Addressing the public on a Victory Day, the governor of Ukraine’s southern Kherson region trampled on the feelings of many veterans and desecrated the memory of all those who perished during the war against Nazi Germany by calling Hitler a “liberator.”

Governor of Kherson region Yuri Odarchenko was booed by thousands including WWII veterans when he told the previously cheering crowd that the Soviet Union tried to enslave Ukraine, while Hitler on the other hand tried to bring freedom to their land.

“Those [Soviet] aggressors justified their capture not only by their desire to seize others’ territory and enslave the people, but they also put forward slogans about liberating nations and people that inhabit the lands which Hitler hoped to capture,”Odarchenko told the crowd.

RIALTO, Calif. (AP) — Whether the Holocaust happened is no longer up for debate at Southern California's Rialto Unified School District.

The initial assignment given to eighth-graders in the San Bernardino County district was to do some research and write an essay explaining whether they believed the Holocaust was a real historical event or a political scheme to influence public emotion and gain.

"It was an error," district spokeswoman Syeda Jafri said Monday.

Several groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, called or emailed the school objecting to the assignment.

One person made a number of calls to police with some very specific death threats, said Rialto police Capt. Randy De Anda.

The threats were specific and directed at Jafri and interim Superintendent Mohammad Z. Islam, De Anda said.

There was no protest or any other action on campus Monday, but because the department takes death threats very seriously, De Anda said he and two officers were on campus checking them out.

"We believe he (the caller) is a white male in his 30s. He did give us a name, but we haven't confirmed it yet so we don't know it he's a previous student," De Anda said.

The department has all the calls on tape and will complete its investigation and forward it to the district attorney.

A team of teachers will meet to revise the assignment, Jafri said, and Islam will talk to the district's education services department to ensure all references to the Holocaust "not occurring" are stricken on any current or future argumentative research assignment.

Philip Johnson’s Pro-Nazi Sympathies Detailed in FBI File

Philip Johnson’s grandiose pavilion for the 1964 World’s Fair wasn’t the only skeleton exhumed from his past today. The first public viewing of the pavilion in 27 years was followed by the release online of the renowned architect’s FBI file by the Paleofuture blog, where it was obtained via Freedom of Information Act request. The file, which comprises 171 pages of letters, memoranda, and other documents detailing the architect’s public and private life, reignites the discussion over his controversial Nazi sympathies at a time of intense public interest in the fate of some of his work. The file, embedded in two parts below, also reveals that Johnson was the target of a White House background check in 1963, which Paleofuture presumes was linked to his involvement with the 1964 World’s Fair as architect of the New York State pavilion.

The dossier begins with a comprehensive internal FBI memorandum noting that “since 1932″ Johnson, a “homo-sexual,” has “expressed his interest in the coming Revolution and has stated that things will be different ‘when the revolution comes.’” Other letters in the cache are more mysterious, like an anonymous communication from a “loyal American citizen” who writes that though Johnson’s family, or “his people,” are beyond reproach, Philip Johnson “is mesmerized by this evil that is trying overpower the good in the world.”

Infamous boxing promoter Don King isn’t holding a grudge against the Rev. Al Sharpton in the wake of a blockbuster report detailing how Sharpton snitched on King to the FBI.

King on Sunday called the revelations about Sharpton’s 1980s work as a paid undercover informant“old news” and praised Sharpton as a “stand-up person” for secretly recording mobsters with a customized Hartmann briefcase provided by the feds.

“Al Sharpton had enough guts to fight, if it is true, to fight for others spending their ways and means to take away opportunity,” King told The Post.

“How many people would put their lives in danger?”

The wild-haired fight organizer wouldn’t say if he ever saw Sharpton carrying the briefcase when they met, or if he suspected that the then-tubby activist was secretly a rat.

“I’m not into mud-slinging,” King said.

But King — who was in Las Vegas for Saturday’s Manny Pacquiao victory over Timothy Bradley at the MGM Grand Garden Arena — hailed Sharpton for painting large X’s on the homes of drug dealers at the time, to identify them to neighbors and cops.

“They should give him five stars for service and duty above and beyond for the betterment of our nation, for this great country of America,” King said.

“The people’s greatest resources are its children, and he put himself in the fight for our youth. He makes us live up to that creed, one man, for liberty and justice for all.”

“I commend Sharpton for his bold, courageous Americanism,” he added.

According to The Smoking Gun website, the FBI “flipped” Sharpton into working as a confidential informant after snaring him in a sting operation in which he was videotaped discussing a drug deal with an agent posing as a South American narcotics trafficker.

In an exclusive interview published Saturday in The Post, former Sharpton crony Robert Curington said the agent initially wanted to meet with King, but King “knew something was off” and had Sharpton talk to him instead.

Curington also said Sharpton jumped at the chance to get in on the agent’s phony deal, saying: “It was greed. He just wanted the money.”

As an informant, Sharpton’s targets included King, who was being investigated as part of a probe called “Crown Royal,” which was shut down when Newsday first exposed Sharpton’s work as an informant in 1988.  >>more<<

HECK YES THIS IS A HATE CRIME PLAIN AND SIMPLE, any sane person that happens to live in an area or city that has a large BLACK population knows and sees blacks mostly youth running out in front of cars to walking in the middle of the street and getting angry almost daring you to hit them; when you honk or stop until they move with very intimidating threatening behavior towards the motorist. It's insane. I have personaly observed this kind of behavior numerous times.

I know one afternoon while I was waiting for the City bus to take me downtown, while standing waiting at the bus stop I saw two pre-teen/teenage black males that kept running across a main busy roadway not looking or caring, my bus came and I went to my destination, when returning home I saw a bunch of police cars parked at a nearby carwash, as I was walking by I recognized a car and the person who owned it sitting in the back seat of a police car. I didn't know what was going on until I returned home and made mention of what I saw. Thats when I was told this person that was in the back of the police car had hit some black kid who ran out in front of him while driving on that busy roadway. I wanted to go back up to the carwash and tell them what I saw happening earlier in the day, but luckily this guy wasn't charged with anything that I am aware of.

Whole Point of that little story, and trust me I have many more is that kind of thing happens on a daily basis in the city i'm from, and it's insane.

  The family of the suburban Detroit man who was severely beaten after accidentally hitting a young boy with his pickup truck has raised more than $100,000 to help pay for his medical bills.

  Steve Utash, 54, was first hospitalized last week when he accidentally struck a 10-year-old boy named David Harris, who had seemingly taken a step off a nearby curb. Utash stopped his car and got out to check on the child, but as he did this a crowd of up to 12 people began beating him, causing serious head injuries that ultimately placed the man in critical condition.

  Harris is expected to recover from his injuries – which include a broken leg – but Utash is still in critical condition, and it’s unclear if his health has improved at all since Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody remarked he was “really not looking all that good.”  >>more from RT<<<
