One of the Thugs in beating and killing of 88 year-old WWII vet, claims it was a crack deal gone bad! What they will say anything to get out of it; but both charged as adults.

One of the teens charged with beating to death a World War II veteran allegedly claimed he was buying crack cocaine from the 88-year-old and the transaction turned violent — but cops said there is no evidence to support that.

 The allegation was denounced as bizarre by victim Delbert “Shorty” Belton’s family and even dismissed by the defense lawyer for the other teen accused in the Spokane, Wash., case, which has drawn national attention.

“That’s a bunch of crock,” daughter-in-law Barbara Belton told NBC News on Tuesday afternoon after suspect Kenan Adams-Kinard made his first court appearance to be charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery.

“He was a little senile, a little eccentric, but he was not into drugs,” she said, accusing the teen of concocting a self-serving story that would make the victim seem less sympathetic.

“Of course these kids are going to make excuses.”

Adams-Kinard and Demetruis Glenn, both 16, are accused of attacking Belton when he resisted a robbery attempt in the parking lot outside his Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge last Wednesday night. Both were charged as adults.  MORE FROM NBC

As the black mob kicked her in the face, pulled her hair and punched her – all the while directing racial slurs at her – Ginger Slepski thought she was going to die.

She didn’t. This Pittsburgh electrician and mother of two escaped with torn ligaments in her shoulder and cuts and bruises that most police reports call “minor injuries.”

The black mob attack happened Sunday as Slepski pulled up to a stop sign in the black part of Pittsburgh.

Channel 11 News in Pittsburgh picks up the story:

Slepski was savagely beaten after the girls threw a bottle at her car on Concord Street and she stopped to confront them.

“I was mad. I knew they were younger. I thought they were in their early 20s. I got out and said, ‘What is your problem?’” Slepski said.

All four African-American girls then called her names before getting physically violent.

“They yelled, ‘Shut up white [expletive].’ The other said, ‘Get that white [expletive],’” Slepski said.

Slepski said she tried to get back into her car but the girls grabbed her by the hair.

Updated: Tuesday, August 27 2013, 07:31 PM EDT COLUMBUS (Kellie Hanna/Kelsey Mallahan) -- Columbus police officers searched Tuesday for five suspects who beat a two-month-old pit bull puppy to death and robbed a man on the Alum Creek walking trail near Parkridge Park.  Police say the five teenage suspects approached David Lockhart as he was walking the puppy named Storm, which belonged to a friend, around noon in northeast Columbus. The suspects demanded Lockhart hand over the dog. When he refused they started punching it. “That was their way to get her out of my arms because I literally held her,” said Lockhart. The suspects then took the man’s wallet and ran away. Storm’s owner, who lives on the 4500 block of Wingfield St., said she’s been the target of break-ins and harassment in recent months. She got the dog and asked Lockhart to stay with her for protection. Police say the suspects could be charged with animal cruelty, a first degree misdemeanor. Teacher gets 30 days in jail for raping a 14-year-old student

BILLINGS, Mont. – A former high school teacher was sentenced to a mere 30 days in jail as punishment for raping a 14-year-old student who later committed suicide because of the relationship.

Stacey Dean Rambold was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but Yellowstone County Judge G. Todd Baugh suspended all but 31 days and credited Rambold for one day already served. Rambold, 54, was convicted of sexual intercourse without consent stemming from a sexual relationship with a student that began in 2008, the Billings Gazette reports.

The victim’s mother, Auliea Hanlon, testified Rambold played a major role in her daughter’s suicide shortly before her 17th birthday. She was understandably angry with Rambold’s sentence.

Hanlon repeatedly shouted “You people suck!” at the sentencing hearing yesterday, the newspaper reports.

Rambold was charged with three counts of sexual intercourse without consent in October 2008 after authorities learned of a sexual relationship between him and student Cherice Morales, then 14.

“The girl’s death caused problems for the prosecution, and in July 2010 Rambold entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with the Yellowstone County Attorney’s Office,” the Gazette reports.

“The agreement called for prosecutors to put the case on hold for three years. The charges would be dismissed, the agreement stated, if Rambold completed a sex offender treatment program and complied with other conditions.”

Blame the Messenger

Clearly something is lost in translation here. This is a high-resolution diagram that should be examined in print. First spotlighted in the media by NBC’s Richard Engel, the diagram actually has its fans as an attempt to visualize “how all things in war – from media bias to ethnic/tribal rivalries – are interconnected and must be taken into consideration.” It contains a lot of information and bears close inspection. Apparently it has made its way into PowerPoint but the real problem, according to Brig. Gen. H. R. McMaster, lies in the opposite direction:

In General McMaster’s view, PowerPoint’s worst offense is not a chart like the spaghetti graphic … but rigid lists of bullet points (in, say, a presentation on a conflict’s causes) that take no account of interconnected political, economic and ethnic forces. “If you divorce war from all of that, it becomes a targeting exercise,” General McMaster said.

And yet, the litany of complaints about too much PowerPoint parallels the demand, by leadership, for more information. The job of a staff officer is information. We aren’t talking about a PowerPoint problem. We’re talking about an information overload problem. The spaghetti diagram serves notice.

You hear from only handfuls of them at a time, and your news feed is cluttered with folks who update far more than most of your friends. Unless you're trying to get them interested in your day-to-day minutiae or some project you're putting together, you've just been stacking those friends in a scarcely visible trophy case. Even with thousands of Facebook friends, it can get awfully quiet in the social networking world.

Maybe that's part of the reason why some credit groups are trying to raise the stakes of your "friends" lists a bit. As reported by CNNMoney, lending companies includingLenddo and Kreditech are using the credit histories of your Facebook friends to judge just how likely you are to pay your debts on time.

While traditional lenders lean more heavily on credit scores based on payment history to determine an applicant's worth as a borrower, that leaves out millions of people who don't have credit scores at all. Your Facebook friends -- whom Lenddo scans for payment and default data, which is then used to judge you by the company you keep -- are just one of the thousands of points lenders are now using to give folks without credit scores access to the credit market.

Kreditech, for example, uses up to 8,000 data points when assessing a loan application. The German company culls data from Facebook, eBay (EBAY -2.60%) and Amazon (AMZN -1.84%), clocks the amount of time people spend reading over the application on its website and judges applicants harshly if they fill out the form in all-caps or no caps.   more at source

Tolerance is a virtue. But to be a positive force in a nation, or a community, it must be applied universally, not selectively. Definitionally, it denotes not only forbearance of behavior, but of opinions that are disagreed with. Yet the degree of intolerance shown to those who oppose the radical homosexual agenda is immensely disturbing, especially coming from those who are such ardent advocates of toleration.

Those who oppose the leftist agenda are often subjected to threats, obscene anonymous phone calls, character assassination, and disturbing mischaracterizations in social media for having the courage to express their opinions.

A courageous couple, Ralph and Rochelle Lillig of Pocatello, ID, have felt the wrath and intolerance of the radical left. And what is the heinous injustice the Lilligs are guilty of? They have the chutzpah to suggest the citizens of their town exercise their right to vote on whether to accept a proposed “anti-discrimination” ordinance that criminalizes any perceived discrimination against homosexuals or transgenders. Encouraging democratic involvement is fundamental to the American tradition. The Lilligs should be lauded for advancing the notion that their community should actually have a direct voice in the laws the citizens are beholden to, rather than just leaving it in the hands of elected officials, some of whom have proven susceptible to coercive pressure from a small yet vocal minority.

There is a local group that calls itself 2Great4Hate, which is supporting the ordinance. They are exercising their freedom of speech to advance their agenda. They are not being vilified for doing so. So why do they display such intolerance to the Lilligs for exercising their freedom of speech? It would appear that the left’s version of tolerance is very selective and exclusive. I was unceremoniously ostracized from their Facebook group because I failed to comport with their selective concept of “tolerance.” Apparently it’s not enough to simply oppose any form of discrimination, but one must accept the entirety of their narrow, codified version of it, regardless of the unintended consequences.
