ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema showed a “lack of remorse” as well as disrespect for the ANC’s constitution, the party’s national disciplinary committee (NDC) chairperson Derek Hanekom said on Wednesday evening.
Militant of African National Congress
“The ANC constitution demands that discipline be enforced without exception,” Hanekom said in a statement announcing Malema’s expulsion from the league and the ruling party.“Cde Julius Malema is expelled from the ANC,” the NDC said.He had 14 days to appeal.“The cumulative effect of comrade Malema’s past and present offences, coupled with his own evidence of lack of remorse and disrespect for the ANC constitution and its structures… has left no room for the NDC to consider his misconduct as anything but extremely serious.”Malema was found guilty of portraying the ANC government and its leadership under President Jacob Zuma in a negative light, and for statements about creating regime change in Botswana, at an ANC Youth League press conference on 31 July 2011.Malema was further found guilty of propagating racism or political intolerance for his utterances, at an election rally in Galeshewe, Kimberley in May 2011, that whites should be treated as criminals for stealing land from blacks.
Overwhelming support to shut down Kommandokorps
A motion to shut down the controversial “hate camp” of the Kommandokorps got overwhelming support in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature yesterday.
JOHANNESBURG – A motion to shut down the controversial “hate camp” of the Kommandokorps got overwhelming support in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature yesterday.
Sponsored by the Democratic Alliance (DA), the motion called for the “immediate” closure of the camp, including a full investigation into the activities at the facility by the Mpumalanga police.
Parts of the motion also called on the legislature to condemn racism of all kinds, both in this house and elsewhere in our province as well as to condemn farm attacks, farm murders and crime of all kinds.
This comes on the back of a complaint lodged by the DA to the Human Rights Commission to probe the camp farm outside Carolina in Mpumalanga.
It is reported that training activities of the Kommandokorps, described as an ultra-right-wing group, takes place on a farm.
I give my undying support and respect to “Colonel” Franz Jooste and his Kommandokorps, what he is teaching these young white men is how to respect themselves, their race and how to defend themselves in the chaos that takes place in South Africa. I see nothing racist at all about that at all. shera~
