Monsanto Chemical Shown to Cause Infertility and Cancer Among Other Things. While the EPA and Government Wait and Watch.

After seeing this first part of this story I dug deeper into Monsanto Chemical, at first thinking of the previous posts I had done on herbicides and fertilizers owned by  Israel Chemicals (ICL) .

Monsanto is an American Company that not only makes herbicides, fertilizers, medications and food additives. After all that I have  read so far not only are they greedy, they are destroying mainly White Nations all under   Governments watch(epa, fda, dept. of agriculture, etc)  That is just my opinion on what I have read so far.  shera~

Monsanto’s herbicidal chemical glyphosate could cause infertility or cancer. It may also be speeding the growth of super weeds and causing worrying changes to plants and soil.

The chemical, which has long been touted as a safe part of global food production, is now at a crossroads. Regulators in the United States and Canada are conducting a formal review of glyphosate’s safety, even as lawsuits are pending and some groups are calling for a global ban.

According to Reuters:

“Environmentalists, consumer groups and plant scientists from several countries are warning that heavy use of the chemical over the years is causing dangerous problems for plants, people and animals alike.”

Monsanto is also only an FDA approval away from its latest monstrosity — soybeans that have been genetically modified to produce omega-3 fats. That FDA approval is expected this year.

Monsanto plans to include GM soybean oil in every product it can — baked goods, baking mixes, breakfast cereals, cheeses, frozen dairy desserts, pasta, gravies and sauces, fruit juices, snack foods, candy, soups, and more.

According to Forbes:

“Monsanto is so despised by environmentalists that Google’s first suggested search term for the St. Louis company is ‘Monsanto evil.’ Readers … voted Monsanto the world’s most evil corporation in a January poll, giving the corporation a whopping 51 percent of the vote.”

Marie-Monique Robin, author of The World According To Monsanto, says that for all Monsanto’s talk about the ecological and humanitarian benefits of its chemicals and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), the solutions have never been delivered.

According to Robin’s extensive documentation, this is because what really matters to Monsanto is control of the world seed market. To that end, they have genetically engineered seeds that are resistant to, and therefore dependent on, Roundup, Monsanto’s herbicide, which nets them gigantic profits.More at Source

If you choose to avoid investing in Monsanto, you probably would like to avoid purchasing their products as well. After all, purchases of their products directly funds the destruction of people’s health around the world. Fortunately, there are alternatives to all of their harmful products.

Purchasers of Monsanto-Seeded Land Are Stuck with Monsanto’s Liabilities

Not only does Monsanto create evil products that endanger life, once a sale is made, it’s forever. Their standard contract with farmers, euphemistically named Monsanto Technology Stewardship Agreement (MTSA), denies the right to sue no matter what harm might result from their seeds. Worse, the contract enforces the same terms on subsequent owners of the land.

Monsanto shifts all liability for their products to the farmer, and they force future owners of Monsanto-seeded properties into the same sort of servitude. Their contract has nothing to do with stewardship—unless creating a dead world is the goal.

Monsanto now advertises an “advantage” of the contract, saying that it no longer requires resigning every year! Once you’ve signed it, your rights regarding any aspect of your farm have been signed away for life—and even beyond into perpetuity. Whoever takes over your farmland will be subjected to the same rules.

Geneva, Switzerland — It’s official. Monsanto Corporation is out to own the world’s food supply, the dangers of genetic engineering and reduced biodiversity notwithstanding, as they pig-headedly set about hog-tying farmers with their monopoly plans. We’ve discovered chilling new evidence of this in recent patents that seek to establish ownership rights over pigs and their offspring.

In the crop department, Monsanto is well on their way to dictating what consumers will eat, what farmers will grow, and how much Monsanto will get paid for seeds. In some cases those seeds are designed not to reproduce sowable offspring. In others, a flock of lawyers stand ready to swoop down on farmers who illegally, or evenunknowingly, end up with Monsanto’s private property growing in their fields.

One way or another, Monsanto wants to make sure no food is grown that they don’t own — and the record shows they don’t care if it’s safe for the environment or not. Monsanto has aggressively set out to bulldoze environmental concerns about its genetically engineered (GE) seeds at every regulatory level.  So why stop in the field? Not content to own the pesticide and the herbicide and the crop, they’ve made a move on the barnyard by filing two patents which would make the corporate giant the sole owner of that famous Monsanto invention: the pig.

“If these patents are granted, Monsanto can legally prevent breeders and farmers from breeding pigs whose characteristics are described in the patent claims, or force them to pay royalties,” says Then. “It’s a first step toward the same kind of corporate control of an animal line that Monsanto is aggressively pursuing with various grain and vegetable lines.”

There are more than 160 countries and territories mentioned where the patent is sought including Europe, the Russian Federation, Asia (India, China, Philippines) America (USA, Brazil, Mexico), Australia and New Zealand. WIPO itself can only receive applications, not grant patents. The applications are forwarded to regional patent offices.

The patents are based on simple procedures, but are incredibly broad in their claims.  In one application (WO 2005/015989 to be precise) Monsanto is describing very general methods of crossbreeding and selection, using artificial insemination and other breeding methods which are already in use. The main “invention” is nothing more than a particular combination of these elements designed to speed up the breeding cycle for selected traits, in order to make the animals more commercially profitable.More at Source

Get ready for it:Needs of aging Holocaust survivors to skyrocket, but what about the needs of our elderly; grandparents, parents?

According to this article small print on forms is only hard to read by aging holocaust survivors and they are the only ones that seem to have problems suffering from hypertension, heart disease, aches and pains and get this last one arthritis.

Seeing or reading this type of article makes me as angry as hearing about the Race Card issue.  Honestly what person hasn't had to deal with this same issue themselves or  helping someone or a  family member out at one time or another filling out forms etc., because they couldn't understand something?  What makes their care anymore important?


Hate to burst their bubble but many of the Elderly and even some not so elderly are suffering from the above mentioned and much more that is also mentioned in this article.  When was the last time you saw a commercial or ad stating that Elderly Whites needed help because they where having troubles paying their medical, housing, food bills?  shera~

NGO head says "small print" makes it "impossible" for survivors to understand which state funding or benefits they are entitled to.

The social and economic needs of Israel’s Holocaust survivor population are expected to increase dramatically in the next four years, according to a study being released Sunday.

According to the study, undertaken by the Meyers JDC Brookdale Institute on behalf of the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel – the official state body responsible for providing survivors with social welfare benefits and assistance – Israel is currently home to some 208,000 victims of Nazi atrocities – compared to 233,000 in 2009. On average, 12,800 survivors die each year, or 35 per day.

The study highlighted that by 2015, the need for financial assistance and medical aid by this population will have risen sharply even though the number of survivors will have dropped by 30 percent, to 145,000.

Today, roughly 33% of the country’s Holocaust survivors – or 60,000 individuals – are considered “needy.”

Their increasing needs are clearly linked to their advanced age, said the researchers, noting that 3% of the survivors are now under the age of 70, 47% are between 70-80, and 50% are over 80.

By 2015, more than twothirds will be aged 80-plus.

“Our data show that in the coming years, mainly due to aging factors, the needs of Holocaust survivors will greatly increase,” said Elazar Stern, the foundation’s chairman.

“Awareness of the needs of survivors has increased significantly in recent years, but our job is to make sure that this will be translated in a way that will ensure the needs of all survivors are met in the future.”

According to David Silberman, co-founder of the nonprofit organization Aviv Lenitzolei Hashoah (Spring forHolocaust Survivors) and an expert on survivors’ rights, the problem facing Holocaust survivors has less to do with a lack of funding than with the difficulty of understanding which state funding or benefits they are entitled to.

His organization estimates that roughly NIS 250 million earmarked to help Holocaust survivors goes unclaimed each year.

The Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel says that the number of survivors applying for health and welfare benefits has increased by 160% in the past five years – with some 60,000 people receiving assistance today, compared to only 23,000 in 2005.

As well as looking at aging, the study examined the health of survivors. Among the medical issues that were most prevalent, the study found that 57% reported suffering from hypertension, 39% had some type of heart disease, 40% suffered from chronic neck and back pain, and 26% had arthritis.

The researchers also found that roughly 10% of survivors are completely reliant on the help of others to perform basic daily tasks and are eligible for National Insurance Institute nursing assistance. That figure is expected to rise to 14% in 2015, and to 25% in 2025, the researchers noted.

In addition, the study also examined the emotional and social conditions of survivors already receiving assistance from the foundation. It found that 40% feel lonely, and a similar percentage find it difficult to leave their homes.MORE JP

 

Obama is planning billions in new assistance to Pakistan.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is planning billions in new assistance to Pakistan, yet the record of previous U.S. military and development aid to the strife-torn Muslim country has been marred by a lack of accountability and transparency, according to government reports.

President Obama said Friday that he backs a plan to triple non-military aid to Pakistan to $1.5 billion a year for five years and make military aid contingent on Pakistan’s efforts to cut government ties to insurgents.

The plan will follow the approach by John Kerry of Massachusetts, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Richard Lugar of Indiana, the committee’s top Republican.

The money will “build schools, roads and hospitals and strengthen Pakistan’s democracy,” Obama said.

Obama also called for the passage of another bipartisan bill that would create economic “opportunity zones” in the dangerous border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan. That bill is sponsored by Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., and Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and Peter Hoekstra, R-Mich.

“We will ask our friends and allies to do their part — including at the donors conference in Tokyo next month,” Obama said.

“You can’t succeed in Afghanistan if you don’t solve the problem of western Pakistan,” Richard Holbrooke, U.S. special representative to the region, said Sunday during a public forum in Brussels. He was referring to the impoverished, mountainous region on the Afghan border where Taliban militants operate with impunity.

Karin von Hippel, a Pakistan expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said the U.S. must ponder, “How do we make sure that that money gets spent properly and doesn’t get stolen?”

The only two audits of U.S. development aid to Pakistan in recent years, by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s inspector general, found significant problems. Record-keeping in an $83 million education reform program was so inadequate that auditors could not say whether any good was achieved. An effort to rebuild schools and health clinics in an area devastated by a 2005 earthquake was found to be years behind schedule.

A Congressional Research Service report published in November questioned whether the U.S. could effectively deliver aid in the border areas. “Corruption is endemic in the tribal region, and security circumstances are so poor that Western non-governmental contractors find it extremely difficult to operate there,” the report said.

On the military side, U.S. aid intended mainly for counterterrorism has been compromised by Pakistan’s desire for arms suited more toward confronting rival India than fighting tribal militants, von Hippel said. For example, Pakistan got U.S. approval last year to redirect $226 million of its assistance towards upgrading F-16 fighter jets, which are of limited use against terrorists.

Also, elements of the Pakistani government have sometimes aided Afghan Taliban insurgents, including tipping them off to NATO operations, according to a June study by the RAND Corp.’s National Defense Research Institute.

The U.S. suspended aid to Pakistan in 1993 over its nuclear weapons program, then resumed aid upon winning a pledge of cooperation after the 9/11 attacks. Since 2002, the United States has provided Pakistan with approximately $12.3 billion, $8.6 billion of it military, according to the Government Accountability Office.more

Osama bin Laden, the long-time figurehead of the al Qaeda terrorist network, has been buried at sea after being killed in a U.S. raid in Pakistan.
U.S. officials told CBS News that bin Laden’s body would be handled in accordance with Muslim traditions, which include strict rules on burial taking place within 24 hours after death.

Bin Laden was a Saudi national, but officials tell CBS News that the Kingdom was unwilling to have his remains repatriated.

He was killed in a U.S. raid launched early Monday in the relatively-well-heeled town of Abbottabad, near the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

As we do, we must also reaffirm that the United States is not — and never will be — at war with Islam. I’ve made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims. Indeed, al Qaeda has slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries, including our own. So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity.

Ok, probably nothing, maybe something.

The U.S. Government needs 350,934 National Detainee Handbooks printed by 29 April 2011. Here’s a 2007 English version of the National Detainee Handbook. I don’t know if that’s the same document as what has been ordered below.

The GPO solicitation went out on 18 April and the handbooks must be delivered by 29 April. Is eleven days a short time for something like this? I have no idea, but clicking on “Jacket Number: 735-412/413” brings up a specification document, which states the following:

TIME CRITICAL:
Notify Ron Boyum at 312-353-3916 x 17 or at rboyum@gpo.gov of the delivery status in the morning 2 days prior to the first shipment to meet the at destination delivery date. [sic]

This is a time-critical order. For the purpose of this contract, the provision in GPO Contract Terms Pub. 310.2 (Rev. 6-01) for schedule extensions does not apply. No automatic extensions of schedules will be made. All interested contractors must commit to the original schedule. Shipments must be made by a carrier that will guarantee delivery at destination within the specified schedule. Carrier’s “targets” in lieu of “guaranteed” deliveries will not be acceptable.

They seem pretty serious about needing the handbooks by 29 April.
