Philip Johnson’s Pro-Nazi Sympathies Detailed in FBI File

Philip Johnson’s Pro-Nazi Sympathies Detailed in FBI File

Philip Johnson’s New York State Pavilion was opened to the public today for the first time in 27 years (photograph by Allison Meier for Hyperallergic) Philip Johnson’s grandiose pavilion for the 1964 World’s Fair wasn’t the only skeleton exhumed from his past today. The first public viewing of the pavilion in 27 years was followed by the release online of the renowned architect’s FBI file by the Paleofuture blog, where it was obtained via Freedom of Information Act request. The file, which comprises 171 pages of letters, memoranda, and other documents detailing the architect’s public and private life, reignites the discussion over his controversial Nazi sympathies at a time of intense public interest in the fate of some of his work. The file, embedded in two parts below, also reveals that Johnson was the target of a White House background check in 1963, which Paleofuture presumes was linked to his involvement with the 1964 Worl…

From NPR: Is A Beating In Detroit A Hate Crime? YES IT IS, and SO IS THAT QUESTION!

HECK YES THIS IS A HATE CRIME PLAIN AND SIMPLE, any sane person that happens to live in an area or city that has a large BLACK population knows and sees blacks mostly youth running out in front of cars to walking in the middle of the street and getting angry almost daring you to hit them; when you honk or stop until they move with very intimidating threatening behavior towards the motorist. It's insane. I have personaly observed this kind of behavior numerous times.

I know one afternoon while I was waiting for the City bus to take me downtown, while standing waiting at the bus stop I saw two pre-teen/teenage black males that kept running across a main busy roadway not looking or caring, my bus came and I went to my destination, when returning home I saw a bunch of police cars parked at a nearby carwash, as I was walking by I recognized a car and the person who owned it sitting in the back seat of a police car. I didn't know what was going on until I returned home and mad…

WOW! SomaliCANS!?! First The Somali Flag Over The Ohio State House and now July 1, 2014 The First Ever "Somali American day" in Minneapolis

The Somali Community is a Promising Economic Powerhouse In Ohio Source: SomaliCAN Outreach Newsletter, August 2009 Issue On July 1, 2009, the Governor of the State of Ohio, and members of the House, in recognition of the contributions of the Somali community to the state, honored the Independence Day of Somalia by raising the Somali flag at the Ohio State House along with the US and Ohio State flags. This was a welcome gesture from legislators and the state leadership for the enterprising Somali community, the newest Americans in Ohio. There are more than 45,000 Somali Americans in Central Ohio according to the Somali Community Access Network, a community based nonprofit that provides services and resources to the Somali community in Ohio. The majority of these Somali Americans live in Franklin County which includes the City of Columbus. The State of Ohio has the second largest Somali population in the US after Minnesota. However, Columbus has the largest concentration of Somalis in a…

'This Is Not A Life': A Journey To Israel's 'Open' Detention Center

Earlier this year, I joined a small team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers from Physicians for Human Rights, an Israeli non-profit organization, on a trip to Holot Open Detention Center. Situated in the heart of the Negev desert, miles from any major city, Holot was erected in late 2013 to hold 3,000 of the 53,000 African asylum seekers who have made their way to Israel since the mid-2000s, mostly from Sudan and Eritrea. Asylum seekers at the Holot Open Detention Center are free to enter and leave in between three daily headcounts. Even if people do leave, by the time they reach the nearest city, they will only have an hour or two before they have to report back to Holot. They are prohibited from working, except for low-paying jobs cleaning the prison, and rely on a meager allowance of about $45 every ten days, according…

Did you see this? Muslim Brotherhood launches US political party « Refugee Resettlement Watch

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 4, 2014 March launch of the new Muslim Brotherhood party in Washington. It actually was launched last month, but I saw it this week whenInvestor’s Business Dailypublished a hard-hitting opinion piece. What is the most important thing they need to be successful?  Numbers!   How are they getting their numbers?  Immigration, of course, and refugees represent the greatest stream of new Muslim voters into the US. There may, however, be a little bit of silver lining to this news.  PerhapsGrover Norquist and Suhail Khanmight work through the new party and stop trying to subvert the Republican Party. The Islamists will have their own party!  Their goals would be out in the open. IBD: Islamofascism: With an eye toward the 2016 election, the radical Muslim Brotherhood has built t…

Canada: Roma refugee sentenced in apartment building arson

Posted by Ann Corcoran on April 6, 2014 Diversity is strength alert! Looks like Canada got a vibrant ‘new Canadian’ when they gave this one citizenship! Bad boy won’t be allowed matches when he gets out in 8 months! From (Hat tip: ‘pungentpeppers’): A 62-year-old man has been sentenced to two years in jail for dousing his Bold Street high-rise apartment with gasoline and setting it on fire. The December 2011 fire triggered an emergency rescue of tenants, including seniors, that sent four Hamilton police officers to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. Rudolf Balogh was sentenced Friday within hours of pleading guilty to arson endangering life. [....] The fire caused an explosion that knocked out windows and sent shattered glass across the street, Reid said, adding damage was in excess of $100,000. He came to Canada in 1999 and had his last job in 2000!  So he worked for a year until he figured out how to get on disability!  Yet, they say he has poor “coping skil…

French ex-President Charles de Gaulle is the founding father of Eurabia

French ex-President Charles de Gaulle is the founding father of Eurabia |

French president Charles de Gaulle is the scumbag responsible for today’s Muslim problems.
by FJORDMAN  |  Eurabia I decided to write this essay after a comment from a journalist, not a Leftist by my country’s standards, who dismissed Eurabia as merely a conspiracy theory, one on a par with The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I do not disagree with the fact that conspiracy theories exist, nor that they can be dangerous. After all, the Protocols and the Dolchstosslegende, or “stab in the back myth” – the idea that Germany didn’t lose WW1 but was betrayed by Socialists, intellectuals and Jews – helped pave the way for Adolf Hitler and the Nazis before WW2. However, what puzzles me is that it is a widely-held belief of many (not just in the Islamic world but in Europe and even in the United States) that the terror attacks that brought down the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11th 2001 were really a contro…

PA; ACLU blasts bill that would allow prosecutors to raid digital medicine cabinets

ACLU blasts bill that would allow prosecutors to raid digital medicine cabinets |

By ANDREW STAUB PA Independent April 01, 2014 Legislation moving through the Pennsylvania Senate would allow prosecutors to rifle through prescription drug records as easily as police can search a student's locker. The proposal, Senate Bill 1180, would create an expanded prescription drug monitoring program and increase access for pharmacists and health-care practitioners who prescribe medication. The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania doesn't like it. The biggest issue, the ACLU said, is that the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee amended the bill to allow prosecutors to seize the prescription drug records under the standard of reasonable suspicion — the same threshold that must be met to conduct searches in public schools or prisons, where residents have a lower expectation of privacy. "One would reasonably believe that Pennsylvanians have a heightened e…
