Ark. man; Chad Watkins, 47, arrested for defacing Anti-Racist= Anti-White Billboard with "Love"

Harrison Police Chief Pat Murphy said a 47-year-old Harrison man has been arrested in connection with vandalism of a controversial billboard on the Bypass.

A police report shows that an officer out at a residence on Rushing Drive about 8 a.m. Thursday arrested Chad Watkins, 47, on a warrant for first-degree criminal mischief with bond set at $2,500.

Murphy said the arrest stems from the late-November vandalism of the sign that reads (Anti-Racist is a Code Word for Anti-White.”

A witness called the HPD about 12:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, to report seeing several people vandalizing the sign, a police report said. The alleged vandals had painted over part of the last two words on the sign and wrote the word “Love” on it.

Assistant Police Chief Paul Woodruff said the witness saw the act in progress and was able to give police the license plate number of a vehicle seen leaving the area Friday morning.

Deputy prosecutor Wes Bradford told the Daily Times that he had been given the case, but he forwarded it to city attorney Van Younes for prosecution.

Younes told the Daily Times on Wednesday that he had turned in necessary paperwork for an arrest warrant to the Boone County District Clerk’s Office earlier this week.  >>more<<

The Census Bureau has a new tracking program (Census Explorer) which allows users to follow the demographic changes in cities and towns across America.  Here is what the Star Tribune reported on Tuesday (emphasis mine):

“It wasn’t as diverse as it is today, I’ll tell you that. It was hard to communicate with peers and stuff.”

But now that there’s a “huge Somali population” in the area, he says, things are going swimmingly at his year-old Tawakal Restaurant in the suburb’s downtown. Nor is the place just for immigrants; it functions as an easy point of contact for all kinds of cultures.

“It’s open to everyone who has a wallet,” he cheerfully declares. “If you have a wallet, we can get along!”

He is part of what one analyst on Tuesday called a “dramatic shift” of immigrants out of the central cities after the U.S. Census Bureau released its latest batch of data tracing demographic change.

Burnsville and Eagan emerge among the state’s top 10 destinations for East Africans, while nearby Shakopee is among the leaders for Southeast Asians. Eden Prairie is the state’s leading home for immigrants from India.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has come to the defence of a reality TV star suspended following derogatory remarks about homosexuality.

Phil Robertson, who appears in the show Duck Dynasty, was asked to describe sin by a magazine, and said: "Start with homosexual behaviour and just morph out from there."

The A&E television network later said it was "extremely disappointed".

In a statement, Gov Jindal said it was a "messed-up situation".

Gov Jindal added that Robertson was suspended while "Miley Cyrus gets a laugh", referring to the US pop star's raunchy performances.

'Personal beliefs'

Robertson's show takes place in Ouachita Parish, located in Gov Jindal's home state.

Now in its fourth series, the programme has broken several ratings records on both A&E and cable television as a whole, with the fourth season premiere drawing 11.8 million viewers.

It follows the lives of the Robertson family, a clan with old-fashioned values who live together in Louisiana, running their multi-million dollar family business, Duck Commander - which makes products for duck hunters.

Interviewed for the January issue of GQ, Robertson said he could not understand why a man would choose to sleep with another man, instead of a woman.

"There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying?" he was quoted as saying. "But hey, sin: it's not logical, my man. It's just not logical".

Following A&E's decision to place Robertson "under hiatus from filming indefinitely", the Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's spokesman Wilson Cruz said: "By taking quick action and removing Robertson from future filming, A&E has sent a strong message that discrimination is neither a Christian nor an American value."

Heretofore it was assumed that Somali kids in the Minneapolis area had a higher rate of autism then white kids, but this new study says the difference is slight.   Our earlier postings all focused on Somali community activists blaming America for autism that they claim they never had in Africa—like the whole vaccination controversy that has been pretty much debunked in scientific circles. Some families reportedly went back to Africa in disgust.

My unscientific earlier guess centered on the lack of Vitamin D Somali mothers (covered from head to toe in a northern climate) likely received during pregnancy, but these statistics don’t fit that theory well as American blacks do not have the same levels of autism as the Somalis or the white people in the study.

A newly published study shows that the Arab population in Israel’s region is constantly shrinking, especially in the Gaza Strip, and this in contrast to a constant increase in the Jewish population.

The study, authored by Dr. Yaakov Feitelson and published by the Institute for Zionist Strategies (IZS), on the demographic trends in Israel demonstrates that the widely perceived concepts on demography in Israel are misconceived.

The Arab population of Judea, Samaria and Gaza includes 2,762,000 Moslems and about 52,000 Christians, approximately 1,331,000 people fewer than the number estimated by the Palestinian Authority.

While the natural increase rate, birth and mortality rates, for Israeli Jews rose by 41.6 percent from 1995 to 2012, the Arab natural increase rate declined during the same time by 30.6 percent, with the rate in 2012 at its lowest level since 1955.

The study cites several reasons for the shrinking of the Arab population in Israel.

The emigration of young Arabs is a trend contributing to the Arab decline in natural growth. It is probable that, following the emigration of young people from these areas, the decrease in the annual population growth of Arabs in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip will accelerate even more. A groundbreaking survey of the political and social attitudes of Arab youth, conducted by the Baladna Association for Arab Youth and Mada al-Carmel, the Arab Center for Applied Social Research, reveals that about 25% are considering emigration.

Missing for decades, the rediscovered diary of Alfred Rosenberg — a chief Nazi ideologue and one of Adolf Hitler's closest confidants — was officially turned over to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., Tuesday (Dec. 17). And with its new acquisition, the museum has made the German-language diary available online for the first time.

Under Hitler, Rosenberg led the Nazi party's foreign affairs department and served as the Reich Minister for the Occupied Eastern Territories. Historians had long known that Rosenberg's diary existed; it was used as evidence in the Nuremberg trials — in which major political and military leaders in Nazi Germany were tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity — some of the papers were published and parts of the diary are even in the collection of the U.S. National Archives.

But the bulk of manuscript, which is more than 400 pages and covers 1936 through 1944, only resurfaced earlier this year. The papers have been authenticated by the museum, and historians hope that the papers might provide new insights on the politics of the Nazi leaders and the mass murder of the Jewish people.
The German-born American lawyer Robert Kempner, who served as a prosecutor during the Nuremberg trials, brought the diary to the United States. According to the Holocaust Memorial Museum, Kempner had received permission from the Office of the Chief of Counsel of War Crimes to keep unclassified documents "for purposes of writing, lecturing and study" after the trials ended and Rosenberg was hanged in 1946.
Kempner held the documents at his home in Lansdowne, Pa., until his death in 1993. In the years that followed, theHolocaust Memorial Museum hashed out a deal with Kempner's heirs to take ownership of the papers. With the introduction of Senate Bill 248 on December 3, 2013, by Senator Capri Cafaro, Ohio has suddenly become a frontline in the battle over homeschooling freedom.

SB 248 is breathtakingly onerous in its scope. It requires all parents who homeschool to undergo a social services investigation which would ultimately determine if homeschooling would be permitted. Social workers would have to interview parents and children separately, conduct background checks and determine whether homeschooling is recommended or not. If it is not recommended, parents would have to submit to an “intervention” before further consideration of their request to homeschool.

SB 248 was offered by sponsors as a way to respond to the death of 14-year-old Teddy Foltz-Tedesco in January 2013. News reports indicate that Teddy had been abused for years by his mother’s boyfriend, Zaryl Bush. After teachers reported abuse to authorities, Teddy’s mother withdrew him from public school, allegedly to homeschool him. Reports tell a sad story of a broken home where neighbors, friends, family, police, teachers and others knew Teddy was suffering ongoing abuse. Finally, Bush beat Teddy so severely that he later died of his injuries. Both Bush and Teddy’s mother are now in prison. A news report can be found online.

Unfair to Homeschoolers

HSLDA condemns child abuse and is saddened by Teddy’s death. HSLDA supports the prosecution of child abusers like Bush and the improvement of systems that prevent child abuse. However, this proposed law does not actually address the problems that led to Teddy’s death and instead unfairly targets homeschooling.  >>MORE<<
