i have read several blogs pertaining to voting issues.some of the comments i have read after these blogs have stated that"it doesn't do any good to vote, the man behind the curtain is going to do what he wants any how" or "the system is broken and can't be fixed".our system in the us is not broken,THE PEOPLE ARE!our values today are such that super consumerism and instant gratification run the show, whilst our society is thrown into the toilet by a few,we as a society have shrugged our civic duty/responsibility,if we really are in league with making a future for our kids and our people, we have to stay involved.that means voting, that also means keeping up on what the people we hired are doing,it is true,if enough of us take this to task, then we are a known quantity and have to be recognized.a person who doesn't want to participate in this system, probably won't participate in any system, in my estimate.i often hear that we are our own worst enemy, that means the opposite is also true,we can fix this mess,it will take time and due dilligence on our part.i hope this gets thought processes working, fire away.jim88

.. Brilliantly said and so true. I mean yeah I know everyone says that no one I want to vote for is running and so on. Well if enough of these people Ban together looking beyond petty and I mean petty differences we might be able to make a change. It's not going to happen over night, but take the time, fortitude, and diligence from each every one of us! Those who don't vote or choose not to have no reason to female dog and moan
about what goes on in this country if your not going to do your part to
exercise this right so many neglect. Further more I think we need to get something together that allows felons the right to vote after time served because they have more of a right to vote then some Third World pick your country the right to after that easy citizenship test that I have listed here: The reason for the government doing this is because so many people coming into this country have never had the right to vote and look at this as an HONOR, as Those who don't VOTE SHOULD, before it's taken away completely!

Gangs are everywhere, including the burbs, not to worry though 'We Have A Program For That"

Hardcore Gangs Hit Ohio SuburbsGANGS IN THE ’BURBS
Subversive element creeping beyond Columbus’ borders Last year, Westerville North High School suspended two students who flashed MS-13 hand signs and drew gang insignia during an English-asa-second-language class. MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha, is a notoriously violent street gang with roots in Los Angeles. It was formed by immigrants from El Salvador.

Gang crime isn’t nearly as serious or common in the suburbs as in some Columbus neighborhoods, but suburban schools and police departments are increasingly on watch.
"It’s not so centralized in the inner city as it used to be," said Pat Brooks, a veteran Columbus police gang unit officer.

Suburban police call Brooks and his colleagues when they suspect gang activity in their jurisdictions.

Most of the crack dealers in Reynoldsburg are gang members who live in Columbus, said Tye Downard, a Reynoldsburg police narcotics detective.

They go there to make mor…

Mocking boys for doing "feminine" things leaves them ill-equipped for life, and makes America a worse place for all

The real boy crisis: 5 ways America tells boys not to be “girly”Clothing. Hair.Products.Sports.Stories.

The ability to feel what others feel has many well-documented benefits, including, for empathetic people, greater psychological and physical health. The real and socially significant positive impact of empathy, however, is the ways in which it affects behavior toward others. People who are empathetic are less aggressive and prone to denigrate others; they are predisposed to act with care and compassion; they have increased egalitarian beliefs and act with less prejudice and stereotype-based hatred. Empathetic behaviors, however, are associated with being female. And weak. The stereotypes that plague our lives teach that the characteristics of empathetic understanding are feminine: listening, sensitivity, quiet consideration and gentleness.  Empathy is feminized and boys learn quickly that what is feminized is, in a man, the source of disgust. While parents, teachers, coaches, grandp…
