The University of California, San Diego’s student-run television station was shut down over racially offensive language, which was used on a program in which an off-campus party held by fraternity members mocking Black History Month was being discussed,  UCSD students who operate an alternative newspaper known as The Koala used the racially offensive language on Thursday night. The Koala staff also allegedly left a racially inflammatory note inside the television station,
The note on the studio floor read “Compton lynching,” according to a local TV station.Video: Noose Discovery

Monday’s party, allegedly organized by some members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, was themed “Compton Cookout” and urged attendees to dress and act in a manner perpetuating racist stereotypes.
Black student leaders attended an emotionally charged forum at UCSD Friday where they handed Chancellor Marye Anne Fox a list of 32 demands, according to KPBS. Those demands ranged from creating a safe, central space for black students on campus to fully funding recruitment efforts for black students, according to the station.  “This event was intended and did expose the true feeling of a group of people, who either are racist, who acted out their beliefs, or people who say they are not racist, but engaged in acts that were racist,” said Leon Jenkins, president of the Los Angeles branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  The NAACP maintains that if the university does not sanction those involved, it will “send a less than clear message that such future reckless or intentional behavior will not be tolerated,See 10news

San Diego students storm offices after noose found
Anger boiled over on the University of California San Diego campus Friday, where students took over the chancellor’s office for several hours to protest the hanging of a noose in a campus library.  Students wearing red handkerchiefs over their faces blocked the doors to Chancellor Marye Anne Fox’s offices for hours, while more students inside chanted “Real pain, real change.”

The noose found dangling from a light fixture on the seventh floor of Geisel Library on Thursday night was the latest in a string of racially charged incidents in the university community, authorities said Friday. Less than two weeks ago, an off-campus party mocking Black History Month ignited racial tensions.  A University of California statement said a student admitted she and two other people were responsible. The statement did not identify the students or their race or include a motive.more USATODAY

A coed who admitted putting the knotted rope in the library was suspended, and the incident was being investigated as a possible hate crime and an act committed “with intent to terrorize,” said campus spokesman Rex Graham.School officials also were looking into whether the off-campus party broke campus rules. A fraternity that was said to have sponsored the party has denied any involvement.Earlier this week at UC Irvine, a Jewish student found a swastika carved into her dorm room door, days after 11 Irvine students were arrested for interrupting a talk by Israel’s ambassador Michael Oren at the Irvine campus. Some Jewish groups have said Irvine’s chancellor has not done enough to counter alleged anti-Semitic actions on the campus and have called for a boycott of the school.more

Instead of an apology there has been steady escalation and now the noose. So, what exactly will the excuses be for this cowardly act that brings up memories of the confederate KKK of the South in their attempts to keep slavery and the non-whites in fear? Is it that are uneducated, is it that their parents planted these seeds of hate, is it that they are live in fear because our President in the white house is not 100% white. This is what the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. These kids follow what their dullard leaders say, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards, they are young and dumb. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think?
