Guess What The FBI Is Focusing On The Average Citizen Now As Lone Wolves.

Guess What The FBI Is Focusing On The Average Citizen Now As Lone Wolves.

In November 1998, the Federal Bureau of Investigation at San Diego, California and the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) initiated an extensive joint investigation of various federal civil rights and domestic terrorism-related violations and incidents, targeting a self-professed white supremacist, Alexander James Curtis, and several of Curtis’ white supremacists associates.
The investigation was dubbed “Operation Lone Wolf,” largely due to Curtis’ encouragement of other white supremacists to follow what Curtis refers to as “lone wolf” activism. Alex Curtis has preached through his hate computer website and racist telephone messages for white supremacist activists to commit criminal acts in small groups, or “cells”, to avoid penetration by law enforcement. Curtis preaches “lonewolf activism” in support of achieving white supremacists goals “by any means necessary.”
Operation Lone Wolf revealed that Curtis led various white supremacist associates, herein referred to as the Curtis’ cell, to commit various criminal acts. Curtis and his cell members targeted various prominent public figures, who spoke out against hate crimes in our community and/or were members of an ethnic or racial minority.
The investigation of Curtis’ white supremacist cell has resulted in an indictment charging Curtis with conspiracy to violate civil rights by targeting for harassment and interference several prominent members of our community, including Congressman Bob Filner, La Mesa Mayor Art Madrid, Anti-Defamation League Director Morris Casuto, and Director of the Heartland Human Relations and Fair Housing Association (Heartland Asso.) Clara Harris. A Curtis associate, Michael DaSilva, was also charged with obstruction of justice for attempting to dissuade a former Curtis’ associate from cooperating with the government’s investigation.
Investigators learned in the course of this investigation that for several months during 1997, Alex Curtis and his associates targeted La Mesa Mayor Art Madrid. On January 19, 1997, Mayor Madrid publicly denounced a hate crime incident in La Mesa. Shortly thereafter, on January 21, 1997, racist hate fliers were left on Madrid’s front lawn at his residence. During August 1997, an anti-Hispanic racist sticker was placed upon the front door of Mayor Madrid’s residence. The sticker bore the telephone number 401-9107, which is the number for Alex Curtis’ racist telephone hotline.

Testifying yesterday in Congress, FBI Director Robert Mueller and National Counterterrorism Center director Matthew Olsen both agreed that the seldom used “lone wolf” provision  of the USA PATRIOT Act, a provision which allows broad intelligence gathering of people with no actual terrorism ties, would become much more widely used in the months and years to come.

Indeed, while Mueller claimed the FBI had never once used the “lone wolf” provision, but that US citizens with no actually ties to terror groups pose a “serious national security threat”  and would need to be targeted more.
Olsen concurred with this sentiment, adding that such people are “probably the greatest challenge that we face.” The two also agreed that Congress needs to give them even more broad surveillance powers, citing the popularity of Android-based smartphones.

The FBI’s surveillance of Americans  remains a serious issue, though the widespread classification of government records means the true extent of the policy may never be known. Thus while Mueller assures that no one has ever been targeted as a “lone wolf,” they continue to target American citizens for lawful activities.
This is just my opinion and nothing more then that on the Curtis case in 1998.  Wouldn’t that somehow be a violation of his First Amendment Rights of Free Speech and  Expression.  What they where charged with :
ok, so they got a little carried away with the spray paint, flyers.

November 10, 2000
Gregory A. Vega, United States Attorney for the Southern District of California, and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Bill Lann Lee announced today that a federal grand jury in San Diego returned a four-count indictment charging defendants Alexander James Curtis and Michael Brian DaSilva with Conspiracy to Violate Civil Rights, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 241, and Michael Brian DaSilva with Obstruction of Justice, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1513 (b)(3). They also announced that two associates of Curtis, Robert Nichol Morehouse and Kevin Christopher Holland, have pled guilty to conspiracy to violate civil rights and are awaiting sentencing. According to the indictment, Curtis, DaSilva, Morehouse and Holland were self-avowed “white supremacists” who advocated the supremacy of white people over other races, separation of the races and the oppression ofBlack, Jewish, Hispanic, and other ethnic and racial groups.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Amalia Meza, who is handling the government’s prosecution along with Department of Justice Trial Attorneys Gerard Hogan and Roy Conn, III, the indictment alleges thatCurtis and DaSilva, as part of a conspiracy to commit hate crimes did willfully conspire to injure, oppress, threaten and intimidate Congressman Bob Filner, La Mesa Mayor Art Madrid, Anti-Defamation League Director Morris Casuto, and former Director of Heartland Human Relations and Fair Housing Association Clara Harris. Among other things, the indictment alleges that the defendants left threatening messages at or near their place of business or home, such as Nazi swastikas, racist slogans advocating violence against racial minorities, snake skins, and an inactive hand grenade.
The indictment also alleges that the defendants conspired to damage religious property, specifically Congregation Tifereth Israel, located at 6660 Cowles Mountain Road in San Carlos, California, and Temple Adat Shalom, located at 15905 Pomerado, San Diego, by spray painting swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans on the property.
Seems like nothing as compared to what so many other ethnic, religious, left wing groups  get away with or threaten to do.  Let’s start with the last presidential election and how many homes/vehicles where damaged by ‘Obama’ supporters.   What about the training camps for Muslims/Islamist across the USA, or what about Americas Civil Rights being violated having to worry about the next ‘Flash Mob’, ‘Thug Attack’, or worrying about offending an Illegal Non Citizen , by celebrating a Holiday we have grown up with and are very American all the  while they are being $upported by America.  Shera~
