‘Arthur Topham’, Another Martyr In The Northland

B’nai Brith vs. Arthur Topham, Publisher (& Ghost Troop support letter) Anonyme, Monday, January 7, 2008 – 13:15

For Immediate Release — January 7, 2008
LEAGUE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS OF B’NAI BRITH CANADA alleges RadicalPress.com owner guilty of “Hate Crimes” toward Jews and citizens of Israel.
QUESNEL, B.C. – Harry Abrams, B.C. representative for the League for Human Rights of B’nai Brith Canada has filed a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) alleging that Arthur Topham, Owner, Publisher & Editor of RadicalPress.com is promoting “hatred toward Jews and citizens of Israel” because of articles on his website that are critical of Zionism and the Jewish state of Israel.
Topham, who has publishing both a hard copy newspaper and an online new site since 1998, said he received the complaint from the CHRC in an unmarked, unregistered envelope November 20, 2008. Contained within was an assortment of documents including a 3-page complaint from Abrams and B’nai Brith and a directive from the CHRC to respond to the Commission by an arranged date.
In a hard-hitting, detailed, and thoroughly documented 13-page Responsewww.radicalpress.com/?p=629 sent to CHRC “hate-team” investigator Sandy Kozak sandy.kozak[at]chrc-ccdp[dot]ca on January 3, 2008 the RadicalPress.com publisher stated categorically,

Defending Publisher Arthur Topham, Zionist Target

My home state of Texas is quite far from Canada, but news travels fast on the Internet. Yesterday I read a January 13 article from the Quesnel Cariboo Observer, “Topham views under attack: B’nai Brith claims anti-Jewish writings” –http://www.bclocalnews.com/bc_cariboo/quesnelobserver/news/13717397.html
I applaud the balanced tone with which your reporter, Autumn MacDonald, examined an issue that is all too often obscured by ad hominem attacks against anyone who, like Mr. Topham, challenges the influence or intentions of the Israel lobby. As a reader of Topham’s Radical Press, I can vouch that the publisher lives up to the name of his publication, but I would hasten to add that his radicalism is not racism.
There can be no taboo adjectives and nouns if there is to be free discussion, the prerequisite of a free society. Nowadays media is chock-full of articles and opinions about “Arab terrorists,” and even “Islamo-Fascists.” Accordingly, it should also be possible to occasionally find material about “Jewish Zionists,” and even “Zio-Nazis” — unless Mr. Topham is right in his opinion that Zionists control our media and political discourse.

SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2012

Arthur Topham, publisher of the Radical Press website, was arrested on May 16, 2012, at 11:30 am on the Barkerville Highway near Quesnel, B.C., put in handcuffs and taken to jail. Apparently, Arthur’s home had been staked out for quite some time by the RCMP.
The warrant for his arrest read “commission of hate crimes” and was endorsed by Arthur’s special “friends” and professional denunciators Richard Warman and Harry Abrams of B’nai Brith, Canada.
What the Canadian Hate Crimes Tribunal failed to do, seems to have been a cinch for Rich and Harry, law or no law. In Canada, when B’nai Brith whistles, the RCMP jumps.
While in jail, Arthur’s house was raided and his computer equipment confiscated, including all his files. During the raid, Shasta, Arthur’s wife, wasn’t allowed into her home for 9 hours. Once the RCMP had taken what they wanted — we wonder where the bugs are now hidden — and finished questioning Arthur, he was released at 11:00 pm.
Arthur is now back home again, but prohibited from sending ANY emails or expressing any opinions about the issues all too familiar to us. In other words, freedom of speech, which he so passionately fights for, has now been stymied by unconstitutional somersaults, technically and legally muzzling him, for the time being. Without compunction, might is right in Canada. <<<thank you Gregory
