Benefits of being an OPCW Member State include the right to participate in, the fullest possible exchange of chemicals, equipment and scientific and technical information relating to the development and application of chemistry for purposes not prohibited under the Convention; support for National Authorities in implementing the Convention.
Action plan
The Action Plan on the Universality of the CWC was adopted during the 23rd Meeting of the Executive Council in 2003. Some of the items mentioned in the Action Plan include the designation of “points of contact” by States Parties, on a voluntary and informal basis, in all regions and sub-regions relevant for the effective promotion of universality, to assist regularly in the implementation of this Action Plan and for the purposes of effective coordination
