. . . bedbugs becoming a national epidemic

Monina Finklea wasn’t concerned when she spotted a lone bug - about the size of an apple seed - on her bed in the Naperville hotel where her family is staying while waiting to move into their new home. But that next morning, the Woodridge woman said she awoke to find about 100 bite marks across her itchy, aching body. Her daughter, Victoria, 7, who slept in the same bed, also had similar but fewer welts. “I didn’t even know bedbugs were real,” said Finklea, a registered nurse, of the July 15 incident. “It’s very uncomfortable. Even though I know I’m getting better, it actually still feels like something still is crawling inside of my skin.”

Another family filed a July 22 lawsuit in Cook County against a Rosemont Holiday Inn after guests claimed the room they rented was infested with bedbugs.

The reddish-brown, wingless insects, which have six legs and two antennae, had been all but eradicated decades ago before World War II. But, likely due to increased international travel, pesticide bans and resistance, the pests are back with a fervor. In fact, three months ago, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency held the first-ever National Bedbug Summit in Arlington, Va. in response to frustrated landlords, hotel chains and housing authorities.

“It’s become an almost national epidemic and threat,” said Donald Baumgartner, an EPA life scientist. “There’s still kind of a question mark as to what is causing it and it hasn’t received a lot of attention because they’re not technically considered a public health pest since they don’t transmit human diseases. There’s still so much research that needs to be done.”

— Residents in a low income Lake County apartment complex were told they had to pay thousands to clean up a bed bug infestation, until Eyewitness News got involved. The owner of Oakwood apartments in Mount Dora tried to charge seven families almost $3,000 each for extermination fees. The South Florida based company, Miami Mar Incorporated, told the residents they would be kicked out if they didn’t pay.

“It’s just really frustrating, right now, you don’t know what you’re suppose to do at this point in time,” said one resident. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development [HUD] helps pay the rent at the complex for people who can’t afford it. After Eyewitness News contacted HUD, the agency told the landlord extermination is an operating expense that the tenants don’t have to pay for.More

Baumgartner said the worst outbreaks are in Ohio, Los Angeles and New York City. Still, statistics are hard to come by because bedbug reporting isn’t required.More

Holder: Homegrown Terror Threat Increasing

Mr. Holder you should look at the refugees(from known enemy countries who hate the USA to begin with),and immigrants you and DHS give security clearance to enter the country with tax free living(5-7 years)along with other tax payer benefits to boot. I blame the Government of Elected and Appointed such as yourself for letting this take place. You are allowing these individuals to come and go into this country no question asked. The U.S. is losing more and more everyday things are growing Tenser day by day. I know if I can see this alone in news stories and not being brainwashed by the lies and corruption others can as well.

“I mean, that’s one of the things that’s particularly troubling: This whole notion of radicalization of Americans,” Holder told ABC News during an interview in his SUV as his motorcade brought him from home to work. “Leaving this country and going to different parts of the world and then coming back, all, again, in aim of doing harm to the American people, is a great concern.” Holder said the ever-changing threat of terror and the pressure to keep up with it weighs heavily on his mind as he tries to ensure that the government has done all it can to anticipate the moves of an unpredictable enemy.

“In some ways it’s the most sobering part of the day,” Holder said of his morning intelligence briefing, in which he gets the latest report on the landscape of “the organizations, the people who are bound and determined to do harm to our nation.”

Recent events, such as the arrests of alleged members of a home-grown terror cell in North Carolina, the return of several Somali-American men to their home country under questionable circumstances and the filing of charges against a New York man who allegedly received al Qaeda training in Pakistan and took part in a rocket attack against U.S. forces, bring the threats to national security into sharp focus.

You Have A Sexy Glow About You, Wanna Do It?

Who as a kid does not remember catching or playing with fireflys,an almost sure sign that summer was just around the corner and that school would be out soon. It's a sad thing that I have been saying for a few years now, what happened to them all Came across this article today in the paper and thought I'd share it. (very interesting) I didn't know that they were poisonous(obviously not enough to hurt a human) or that they were carnivorous(eating other bugs)

Drop In Daddy Long Legs Is Devastating Bird Populations
Warm summers are dramatically reducing populations of daddy long legs, which in turn is having a severe impact on the bird populations which rely on them for food.

Jewish group sues Amazon for Nazi books

According to the AJC, around 50 books on sale on Amazon’s German website contain anti-Semitic sentiments, trivialise National Socialism, and deny the Holocaust.

Some of the books have been classed as endangering to youth, a statement by the AJC said. Amazon are also accused of advertising other books by the same authors on the Google search engine.

Deidre Berger, director of the Jewish Committee’s Berlin office, said in a statement, “It is unacceptable that books are being sold on Amazon.de that can otherwise only be found in specifically right-wing bookshops.”

"We cannot let the spread of internet sales erode laws that ban Holocaust denial and incitement to hatred of minorities in Germany," the statement added.

The AJC is calling on Amazon to remove all the books in question from its catalogue immediately.

Amazon spokeswoman Christine Höger responded by promising that the company would check its bookseller’s conditions in relation to the books, but added that Amazon was a retailer, not a “regulatory institution.”

Commissioners eye voting rights for non-citizens

Commissioner Anna Tevarrow, who campaigned on the issue, said that attaining citizenship is a difficult process that can take years. In the meantime, it's only fair to grant voting rights to legal residents who are paying taxes, receiving city services and have children enrolled in the public schools, she said.
"It seems voting would be a natural step to allow immigrants to participate in civic life," she said.
Commissioner Ben Chipman supports the proposal, noting that any measure that increases voter participation is a good thing.
Commissioner Thomas Valleau said he likes the idea in concept. He said immigrants should have some say in how their children are educated and in the delivery of city services
"Currently, they have taxation without representation," he said.
Other commissioners, though, including Jim Cohen and Richard Ranaghan Jr., say the issue would distract the commission from its primary job, which is examining the structure of city government.
Commissioner Nathan Smith said he's open to learning more about the issue but is skeptical. He said the city should put its effort into creating a system that encourages immigrants to become citizens.
"I just think that one of the hallmarks of citizenship is the franchise, the right to vote," he said. "It's an important achievement and privilege. In many ways, it's an incentive for citizenship."
At its July 30 meeting, the commission will begin deciding which topics it will focus on as it develops a proposal to submit to voters in November 2010. The issue of expanding voting rights to non-citizens is in the mix.
Nationally, there are a few communities that give non-U.S. citizens the right to vote in municipal elections, including six municipalities in Maryland. In Chicago, non-citizens can vote in school board elections.
In New York City, non-citizens voted in elections for community school boards until 2003, when a restructuring of the school system eliminated the boards.
In Massachusetts, the municipalities of Amherst, Cambridge and Newton all passed local ordinances allowing non-citizens to vote. However, the ordinances cannot go into effect unless the Massachusetts Legislature amends state law.
That might be the case in Maine as well. Whether a municipality can grant non-citizens voting rights is a complex legal issue that has never been conclusively settled, according to Julie Flynn, a deputy secretary of state who oversees the Bureau of Corporations, Elections, and Commissions.

Gun Toting, Bible Carrying Obama Protester Acquitted

BEAVER, Pa. - A western Pennsylvania man has been cleared of criminal charges after bringing his handgun to a campaign rally for President Barack Obama. John Noble, of Industry, wore the 9 mm on a holster and carried a Bible to the August rally to protest Obama's remark that Americans who felt left out by the system clung to guns and religion. The rally was in Beaver, about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.
http://www.philly.com/philly/wires/ap/news/state/pennsylvania/20090717_ap_wpamanacquittedincaseofgunatobamarally.html

Tom Williams, a Pennsylvania Firearm Owner's Association member, drove three hours from Port Allegheny in McKean County to support Noble – a man he has never even spoken to. "I support the Second Amendment, I support John's right to open carry," he said. "He didn't break any laws. I think if any laws were broken it was the police who unjustly arrested him."

Williams hopes to make the three-hour trip again on Wednesday for Noble's trial. Richard Banks, founder of www.PAopencarry.org, traveled 300 miles from Luzerne County to support the 51 year old.

"It seems pretty simple to me," Banks said, his gun in a holster at his side. "A lot of people congregated knowing that this rally was happening in a nearby adjacent area to make statement either for or against the candidate. They had signs … and Jack's statement was a little simpler, but just as protected."

Banks said he carries a firearm routinely and maintains a concealed carrying license, just as Noble does.

Police said the 51-year-old Noble wanted to be disruptive. They say he posted on the Internet that he was taking the gun to "test what would happen." Friday, a jury acquitted him of a disrupting a public meeting and a judge acquitted him of disorderly conduct, but called his actions foolish.

Noble wasn't charged with gun offenses because he was legally carrying it.

Paulson reveals US concerns of breakdown in law and order

The Bush administration and Congress discussed the possibility of a breakdown in law and order and the logistics of feeding US citizens if commerce and banking collapsed as a result of last autumn’s financial panic, it was disclosed yesterday. Making his first appearance on Capitol Hill since leaving office, the former Treasury secretary Hank Paulson said it was important at the time not to reveal the extent of officials’ concerns, for fear it would “terrify the American people and lead to an even bigger problem”

Mr Paulson testified to the House Oversight Committee on the Bush administration’s unpopular $700bn (£426bn) bailout of Wall Street, which was triggered by the failure of Lehman Brothers last September. In the days that followed, a run on some of the safest investment vehicles in the financial markets threatened to make it impossible for people to access their savings. Paul Kanjorski, a Pennsylvania Democrat, asked Mr Paulson to reveal details of officials’ concerns, which were relayed to Congress in hasty conference calls last year. The calls included discussion of law and order and whether it would be possible to feed the American people, and for how long, according to Mr Kanjorski.

“In a world where information can flow, money can move with the speed of light electronically, I looked at the ripple effect, and looked at when a financial system fails, a whole country’s economic system can fail,” Mr Paulson said

Madoff Hires Consultant to Find Best Jail

After his sentencing this week Madoff, now Prisoner No 1727-054, met Herb Hoelter, of the National Center for Institutions and Alternatives, whose previous clients include the jailed Sotheby’s chairman Alfred Taubman and the financiers Michael Milken and Ivan Boesky. The draconian maximum sentence imposed by the judge means that Madoff, 71, will be assigned to a tougher category of prison than most white-collar criminals.

He could be forced to mingle with murderers, rapists, drug-dealers and white supremacist gangs with a hatred of Jews. Madoff is Jewish. He could even find himself incarcerated with terrorists in the infamous “Supermax” jail in Florence, Colorado.

You Still Don't Get It?

The Somali and other Third World Nations are taking over the United States bit by bit, and it will only get worse now that Obama an admitted (Muslim) is President of the US. I have been trying to point this out for a few years now showing different ways that they are gouging the American Citizen not only monetarily but taking away our rights because things seem offensive to them and their religion or way of life. We as Americans should not have to assimilate to them. As I’ve said in many other things I’ve written and posted,

Somalis in America are "very, very rude, inconsiderate, very demanding"
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/025409.php

Great the Somalis are celebrating there independence, but what I want to know is there independence of what taking more from us? (Somalis regardless of age get $1,000 a month for 7 years) Shouldn’t they be celebrating in Africa?

'Thou hast seen

the Passion, the Sorrow, and the horrid slaughter

of undefended right.

Thou hast curst, thou hast wept

Harvesting prison, misery, and affliction.

Cursing is sterile; weeping cowardly,

Listen!

History directs you; Science arms you.

From unavenged tombs,

killed by disease and gunshot

your fathers entrust you with their vengeance

Be Bold! Redemption springs from audacious revolt!'

The Socialization of America

By Dr. David Noebel
March 27, 2009

In retrospect, we might discover that 1883 was a most significant year. We’re familiar with 1848 giving us The Communist Manifesto and 1859 giving us The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. But 1883 gave us three portentous happenings. These seemingly unrelated happenings turned history toward socialism.

1. Karl Marx died on March 14, 1883, and was buried in Highgate Cemetery in London, England. The assumption that Communism died with him was logical since only six people attended his funeral. But the truth is that it had not yet begun its murderous journey through the 20th century.

2. John Maynard Keynes was born on June 5, 1883, in Cambridge, England. His political, economic, and moral influence continues to affect every American.

3. The Fabian Socialist Society was an offshoot of The Fellowship of the New Life, which was born in October 1883 in London, England.

Today’s financial events illustrate that America is not exempt from being led toward socialism. Predictions differ, depending on one’s perspective, as to whether this will be a socialistic paradise or a socialistic hell. Time will tell. In the meantime, we’d do well to listen to warnings from the past.

Russian thinker and author Fyodor Dostoyevsky offered the following take on socialism: “The future kingdom of socialism will be a terrible Tyranny of criminals and murderers. It will throw humanity into a true hell of spiritual suffering and poverty.”

Socialist George Bernard Shaw added: “You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner.”

Journalist Files Charges On Lies, Lies, Lies;

Jane Burgermeister has recently filed criminal charges with the FBI against the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government and corporate officials concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America.

In her charges, Burgermeister presents evidence of acts of bioterrorism that is in violation of U.S. law by a group operating within the U.S. under the direction of international bankers who control the Federal Reserve, as well as WHO, UN and NATO. This bioterrorism is for the purpose of carrying out a mass genocide against the U.S. population by use of a genetically engineered flu pandemic virus with the intent of causing death. This group has annexed high government offices in the U.S.

Specifically, evidence is presented that the defendants, Barack Obama, President of the U.S, David Nabarro, UN System Coordinator for Influenza, Margaret Chan, Director-General of WHO, Kathleen Sibelius, Secretary of Department of Health and Human Services, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Department of Homeland Security, David de Rotschild, banker, David Rockefeller, banker, George Soros, banker, Werner Faymann, Chancellor of Austria, and Alois Stoger, Austrian Health Minister, among others, are part of this international corporate criminal syndicate which has developed, produced, stockpiled and employed biological weapons to eliminate the population of the U.S. and other countries for financial and political gain.

Britain has 85 sharia courts:

At least 85 Islamic sharia courts are operating in Britain, a study claimed yesterday.

The astonishing figure is 17 times higher than previously accepted.

The tribunals, working mainly from mosques, settle financial and family disputes according to religious principles. They lay down judgments which can be given full legal status if approved in national law courts.

Under sharia, a male child belongs to the father after the age of seven, regardless of circumstances.'

It said: 'Sharia courts operating in Britain may be handing down rulings that are inappropriate to this country because they are linked to elements in Islamic law that are seriously out of step with trends in Western legislation.'

The study pointed out that the House of Lords ruled in a child custody case last year that the sharia rules on the matter were 'arbitrary and discriminatory'.

And a 2003 judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg said it was 'difficult to declare one's respect for democracy and human rights while at the same time supporting a regime based on sharia, which clearly diverges from Convention values.'

However last year Justice Minister Bridget Prentice told MPs that 'if, in a family dispute ...the parties to a judgment in a sharia council wish to have this recognised by English authorities, they are at liberty to draft a consent order embodying the terms of the agreement and submit it to an English court.

'This allows judges to scrutinise it to ensure it complies with English legal tenets.'

Decisions from sharia tribunals can be presented to a family court judge for approval with no more detail than is necessary to complete a two page

form. The sharia courts in the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal are recognised as courts under the Arbitration Act. This law, which covers Jewish Beth Din courts, gives legal powers to a tribunal if all parties involved accept its authority.

Man gets beatdown by police for standing up to Illegals

MayDay this event happened during the Seattle immigration rally on May 1st. Does this man get justice. Are the police protecting us from people not from our country. Or is the state protect illegals against American citizens.
