The HPV vaccine is a series of shots. It can prevent some types of HPV that cause cervical cancer. This cancer kills many women every year. The HPV vaccine can also help prevent genital warts in men and women. Boys and girls as young as 9 years of age can get the HPV vaccine.
If HPV is spread through sex, why is the HPV vaccine recommended for children who are so young?
The vaccine works best when it is given to someone who has never had sex with anyone. That is why it makes sense to give the vaccine to boys and girls well before they start having sex. The vaccine was tested for children as young as nine years old and shown to be safe. It is recommended and works best for boys and girls from ages 9 to 12 years old.
(NaturalNews) New York’sA343and S384, if enacted into law, will give children the right to consent to HPV and Hep B vaccines, without the knowledge and consent of their parents. Regardless of your position on vaccines, these bills set a disturbing precedent in violation of the U.S. Constitution. If you live in New York, take or send this Memorandum of Lawto your state representatives, along with any other concerns you may have, to oppose these bills!
When did hepatitis B vaccine become available? The first hepatitis B vaccine became commercially available in the United States in 1982. In 1986, a hepatitis B vaccine produced by recombinant DNA technology was licensed, and a second recombinant-type hepatitis B vaccine was licensed in 1989. The two recombinant DNA vaccines (Recombivax HB and Engerix-B) are the only hepatitis B vaccine preparations currently used in the United States. (There are additional products licensed in the U.S. that contain these vaccines in combination with other vaccines.)
?Who should get this vaccine? Hepatitis B vaccine, usually a three-dose series, is recommended for all children 0-18 years of age.?
It is recommended for infants beginning at birth in the hospital. All older children who did not get all the recommended doses of hepatitis B vaccine as an infant should complete their vaccine series as soon as possible. Most states require hepatitis B vaccine for school entry. Adolescents who are just starting their series will need two or three doses, depending on their age and the brand of vaccine used. Adults at increased risk of acquiring HBV infection should also be vaccinated. In addition, the vaccine can be given to any person who desires protection from hepatitis B.
As a starting place, constituents are “one person with one vote.” If your position is one held by a minority, which is usually the case with vaccine freedom-of-choice advocates, legislative activism is an up-hill battle. But legislative activism involves the art of persuasion, since ultimately, legislatures can enact any law they have the votes for, Constitutional or not.
So, if you can tell your representative, “I don’t like this bill” and why that can be persuasive, but if you can add to that, “and by the way, youcan’tenact this bill into law because it’s unconstitutional,” you can substantially bolster your “one person, one vote” starting point.
Meanwhile, here’s a summary of some of the legal and other problems with NY’s A343 and S384:
1. They are unconstitutional. The U.S. Supreme Court has stated: “Most children, even in adolescence, simply are not able to make sound judgments concerning many decisions, including their need for medical care or treatment. Parents can and must make those judgments.” Giving medical decision-making authority to children violates parents’ 14th Amendment Constitutional due process right to parent their children. When the state takes parental decision-making away from parents, it is essentially saying that the parents are unfit to make those decisions. When the state gives that authority to children, it is saying that kids are fit to make decisions that the parents aren’t fit to make. Rather absurd, isn’t it?!
With the above statement in BOLD FACE FONT, I agree with it completely, and yet that brings up another sore spot with me, it maybe a little off topic but not really. How parent’s, doctor’s and even the Government can support a parent or a doctor who think a 13 month old child can tell what sex they are or are supposed to be just on the statement a kid makes saying I’m a girl when they are really a boy or vise versa. Allowing treatments to said child of hormone blocking drugs.
To me that is almost the same as saying I was born a kitten but I know I’m a duck at that young of an age and I want you to make me a Duck. Not going to happen! Wouldn’t the above statement apply to that too? Shera~

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2006 Hardcore Gangs Hit Ohio SuburbsGANGS IN THE ’BURBS
Subversive element creeping beyond Columbus’ borders
Last year, Westerville North High School suspended two students who flashed MS-13 hand signs and drew gang insignia during an English-asa-second-language class. MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha, is a notoriously violent street gang with roots in Los Angeles. It was formed by immigrants from El Salvador.
Gang crime isn’t nearly as serious or common in the suburbs as in some Columbus neighborhoods, but suburban schools and police departments are increasingly on watch.
"It’s not so centralized in the inner city as it used to be," said Pat Brooks, a veteran Columbus police gang unit officer.
Suburban police call Brooks and his colleagues when they suspect gang activity in their jurisdictions.
Most of the crack dealers in Reynoldsburg are gang members who live in Columbus, said Tye Downard, a Reynoldsburg police narcotics detective.
The ability to feel what others feel has many well-documented benefits, including, for empathetic people, greater psychological and physical health. The real and socially significant positive impact of empathy, however, is the ways in which it affects behavior toward others. People who are empathetic are less aggressive and prone to denigrate others; they are predisposed to act with care and compassion; they have increased egalitarian beliefs and act with less prejudice and stereotype-based hatred. Empathetic behaviors, however, are associated with being female. And weak.
The stereotypes that plague our lives teach that the characteristics of empathetic understanding are feminine: listening, sensitivity, quiet consideration and gentleness. Empathy is feminized and boys learn quickly that what is feminized is, in a man, the source of disgust. While parents, teachers, coaches, grandp…
